Delilah’s distinctive blend of story-telling, sympathetic listening and encouragement – all scored with adult contemporary music – makes her top ranked in most markets among women 25-54.

In 2021, Delilah bought the first station she ever worked on, KDUN - a 50kW blaster!

Oprah of Radio

Often referred to as the "Oprah of Radio," Delilah’s soothing voice, open heart and love of music has expanded her audience to more than 12 million monthly listeners on more than 150 radio stations in the United States, and internationally on the American Forces Network in Japan, Korea and Central Europe, along with her channel on iHeartRadio and her new podcast, Conversations with Delilah.

Many of those listeners engage Delilah beyond the airwaves via social media, especially on Facebook, where more than 1.6 million friends connect with her to share their stories and request songs.

Philosophies

Delilah, loves her work “because it has allowed me to bring together a distinct community of people who reach out to help one another.  We don’t try to fix people.  We listen.  We sympathize.  We empathize.  If the show has a message, it’s listen to your own gut.  Trust your own intuition.  Go where it leads.  Don’t give up!”

Fascinating new radio books
The first in a new series of Inside Your Radio books is now available.  Radio Formats in the UK and US tells how radio programming developed from 'general service' stations into today's highly-formulated  and tightly-targetted streams of entertainment & news.

Over 130 different formats are described in the 100 page primer on radio formats from the major markets on sides of the Atlantic.

Future books in the Inside Your Radio series will be of interest to listeners & professionals:
The Radio Caroline Bible is a fascinating new book that  tells the inside story of Radio Caroline, from the very beginning of the project up to date with the death of the station's founder, Ronan O'Rahilly, in 2020.

The Radio Caroline Bible is packed with 'stories from the inside' about the many disasters, boardings, excitement and copious amounts of skull-duggery. There are many inside tales about the major events from all of Caroline’s four eras, told by many of the key people who made Radio Caroline happen. It has a lot of unique content & ‘never published before’ photographs.

The book is chronologically correct, is illustrated with over 300 photos and drawings, and is fully indexed.  Casebound with strong covers in full colour, the Radio Caroline Bible has over 500 pages and shows the MV Ross Revenge in all her magnificence. Solidly made, this  book will last for many years. It's a limited print run that will surely become a collector’s item.
