Following several years in hospital radio, Paul’s career began at LBC in 1974 as a studio operator. He later became a producer and Head of Production, responsible for LBC’s on-air ‘imaging’ and branding.
After a spell at Ocean Sound and at BDR in Vienna, Paul joined Melody Radio as one of its original music programmers. He then moved on to Capital Radio as Assistant Programme Director on Capital FM and Capital Gold.
While at Capital Gold, Paul was responsible for the station’s music output, and worked with radio legends such as Kenny Everett and Tony Blackburn. At Music Choice Europe, he developed and launched over 40 digital channels.
The ideal person to teach programming British radio, Paul's book packages four decades of learning radio at the most influential stations in the UK.
